District 9141 International Exchange: Tanzania Delegation

Rotary International District 9141 hosted an international exchange visit with a delegation from Tanzania, with RC Bonny Island and RC Grand Bonny serving as host clubs on the culturally rich Bonny Island. The visit aimed to promote international understanding, friendship, and goodwill through cultural, service, and vocational exchanges. Participants had the opportunity to experience new cultures, build global networks, and explore professional and community-service environments abroad. The Tanzanian Rotarians arrived on Monday, 17th, by boat and were warmly welcomed by members of both host clubs, followed by a visit to Finima Nature Park. Finima Nature Park, established by Nigeria LNG, is a conservation area preserving wetlands, mangrove forests, and wildlife habitats while promoting environmental education and eco-tourism. The delegation also paid a courtesy visit to Rotarian Se-Alabo Abel Attoni, a Country Chief of the Bonny Kingdom, who plays a vital role in preserving local heritage and representing his people. Guests enjoyed lunch at the Chief’s residence and were later accommodated at the homes of host Rotarians. That evening featured a joint fellowship at Bonny Sea View, followed by a visit to D Café Bar to experience Finima’s nightlife and hospitality. On the second day, breakfast was served at the Chief’s residence before the delegation proceeded to NLNG Bonny Jetty. The delegation then sailed back to Port Harcourt, concluding a successful visit that strengthened cultural ties and Rotary collaboration.
