From a local need to shared action.

The commissioning of five handwashing stands installed at St. Patrick Anglican Model Secondary School, Finima, as part of Rotary’s commitment to improving access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene within learning environments. The project aims to enhance the overall health and well-being of students and staff while promoting a sustained culture of proper hygiene practices. The primary objective of this initiative is to provide functional handwashing facilities that support regular hand hygiene among students and staff. By making handwashing convenient and accessible, the project contributes to reducing the spread of infections, improving school sanitation standards, and fostering better hygiene habits. The intervention involved the installation of five handwashing stands, each equipped with soap dispensers and water tanks. The stands were connected to the school’s existing water supply system to ensure continuous access to clean water.
