The Rotary Club of Bonny Island, in partnership with Chrismilia Secondary School, organized a friendly football match to promote peacebuilding and conflict prevention among students. Prior to the match, Rotarians led a short session on tolerance, dialogue, and mutual respect. Through participation in the game, students learned firsthand how teamwork, sportsmanship, and cooperation can bridge differences and foster unity. The initiative used sports as a practical tool to teach empathy, peaceful conflict resolution, and responsible leadership. The event aligns with Rotary’s global commitment to promoting peace and inspired plans to replicate similar programs in other local schools, reinforcing the club’s mission to nurture inclusive, community-focused leadership.
