The End Polio Now Campaign is a global initiative led by Rotary International with the goal of eradicating poliomyelitis worldwide. In Nigeria, and specifically in Finima, the campaign has contributed to maintaining the country’s polio-free status, demonstrating the impact of sustained immunization and advocacy efforts. The Rotary Club of Bonny Island partnered with local organizations to implement vaccination drives while also leveraging the campaign to empower community members, particularly small-scale business entrepreneurs. Key initiatives included active vaccination efforts, direct community empowerment for small businesses, and community-wide polio awareness.
